Director, Military/Veterans Support
Thomas Flores has been with Hawaii Pacific University since January 2000, while he was an active duty servicemember in the United States Navy. While active duty he completed his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration in 2003 and Master of Business Administration at Hawaii Pacific University in 2005. Mr. Flores retired from the United States Navy after a twenty-three year career in 2007 and started working at HPU the day he retired. He has been the Director of the HPU Military/Veterans Center since June 2011 and has helped thousands of servicemembers, veterans and family members with their veterans education benefits.
Hawai‘i Pacific University welcomes our veterans with military-friendly classes, convenient course scheduling, and support services to help you reach your educational goals. The HPU VA School Certifying Officials (SCOs) are located in the HPU Military/Veterans Center on the main campus. The SCOs are responsible for certifying enrollments to the VA for students using GI Bill® benefits at HPU. Students receiving Veterans Education benefits may register for courses online or at any Hawai‘i Pacific University registration center.
