Message from Colorado Northwestern Community College

On behalf of the faculty and staff of Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC), it is my distinct honor to say “Welcome”! At CNCC, you will receive an experience like no other in the country and will also graduate completely transformed. Where else will your science instructor take you caving as part of your instruction on biomes? How many flight programs offer extensive experience in mountain flying within unrestricted airspace? How often will community colleges or Universities for that matter include among their HPE/Wellness courses, Ice tower and mountain climbing, backpacking, scuba diving, and rafting? The CNCC experience includes a unique way of learning especially when our classes are held everywhere.

Earn While You Learn with CNCC’s Apprenticeship program - Jumpstart your career!

Testimonials - Park Ranger Law Enforcement Academy

“I graduated from the CNCC PRLEA class 19-01. For my first season, summer 2019, I worked for Yellowstone National Park as a Law Enforcement Ranger. The academy at CNCC is seriously the best. The high quality of instruction and training that I received there prepared me for success in my career with the National Park Service.” - Jess R.

“I graduated from the Law Enforcement Academy in May, 2019. I worked for the National Park Service as a fence builder and road maintenance personnel for Wind Cave National Park following the academy. After receiving my EMT certification this winter, I have accepted a position as a Law Enforcement Ranger at Rocky Mountain National Park for the summer 2020 season. The Academy at CNCC provided me with the skills, knowledge, and certifications to help me succeed as a Ranger”. - Mike W.

Aviation Maintenance Technology Program

At Colorado Northwestern Community College, our unspoiled environment is among the most beautiful and breathtaking in the state. Our students are provided with an opportunity they may never get again in their lives...to unplug, to reflect, to connect with the environment and its wildlife, to explore interests they never knew existed and to reconnect with their own thoughts and goals. Amidst a growing “me first” society, our students are part of a community where all members of our staff and faculty and those in the surrounding community care about them as people. We teach and learn to take responsibility, show respect, and appreciate the differences that exist among us as human beings. We understand the importance of a strong work ethic and the gratification of giving to and supporting others and most importantly, we realize that persistence and never giving up is “The Spartan Way”.
