For more than 250 years, Columbia University has been a leader in higher education in the nation and around the world. Columbia at the undergraduate level is a liberal arts institution offering majors in the arts and sciences as well as engineering. For those veterans seeking a bachelor’s degree, Columbia University is home to the School of General Studies which was founded after World War II to provide student support services for adults, of which more than 400 veterans are currently enrolled. At the graduate level, Columbia consists of 16 different colleges and schools, that offer master and doctorate degrees in more than 100 different fields of study. More than 200 veterans are enrolled at Columbia amongst all the different graduate level programs.
*Applicants to the School of General Studies can take the Online GS Admissions Exam in place of the SAT or ACT.
