D'Youville serves the largest (35%) of all the military aligned students enrolled in postsecondary institutions in Buffalo and WNY. Veterans, spouses and dependents make up nearly 20% of D'Youville's total student population and they are enrolled throughout all of the academic programs at the college.

The D'Youville SVA (Student Veterans Association) is an award winning top ranked Chapter of the National Student Veterans of America (SVA). The D'Youville SVA manages the Veteran and Military Aligned Students Ambassador, Peer Mentoring and Tutoring Programs.

The D'Youville Veterans Outreach and Support Services (VOSS) Center is located on the 2nd Floor of the Koessler Administration Building (KAB) and was established through The Home Depot Foundation's 2015 SVA Vet Center Initiative Grant Award. The VOSS Center houses: The SVA & Work Study Office (KAB, Room 214), The Captain Eleanor Grace Alexander Memorial Veterans Lounge (KAB, Room 215), The Ann Wood Kelly Memorial Veterans Learning Center (KAB, Room 216), The Veterans Affairs Office (KAB, Room 217). The VOSS Center is staffed with a Full-Time Veteran Affairs Director (Ben Randle, Assistant Director (Trey Randle), VOSS Program Coordinator (Don Wilson) and a full staff of counselors and coordinators. OUR MISSION: We are committed to supporting those who have so selflessly served our nation as members of the armed forces and their family members.

We recruit, prepare and support active, reserve, guard and veteran students and their families, and help to navigate the collegiate journey. While recruitment and retention of veteran and military aligned students are important goals, our primary focus is to ensure the success of all our students academically, professionally and personally.
