Howard University is a 4-year, private university in Washington, D.C. Howard University is located just two miles from the U.S. Capitol, giving students access to the many opportunities the city offers.

For undergraduate students, Howard has six different ‘colleges’ as well as certificate programs (ex: College of Arts and Sciences, College of Engineering, etc.) Howard is known for being a leader in STEM fields.

The National Science Foundation ranked Howard University as the top producer of African-American undergraduates who later earn science and engineering doctoral degrees.

Howard University Veteran Offerings

Howard University veteran offerings include accepting the Post 911 GI Bill and awarding college credit for CLEP & DSST exam scores. 

Howard also assists active duty military by participating in the DoD’s Tuition Assistance program.
