How you prepare for that day makes all the difference when it comes to transitioning back into civilian life. Education is a critical part of that.
This is for you. IWU created innovative military degree pathways that maximize military transfer credits, saving you significant time and money. Using our stackable model, and depending on how many military credits you’ve earned, you can:
- Earn an associate’s degree in as few as 5 classes (7 months)
- Earn a bachelor’s in as few as 10 classes total (1 year)
- Earn a master’s degree in 1 year
- Use tuition assistance or VA educational benefit to cover the tuition
To make earning a degree even more accessible, IWU caps undergraduate tuition for military and veteran students at $250 per credit hour and offers a 15% discount on nearly all graduate programs. Textbooks are also provided at no out-of-pocket cost.

AS Public Service and Management (ASPSM)
Transfer Up To 45 Military Credits Toward Your Degree at IWU!
ASPSM is designed purposefully to both recognize military training and military experience. The ASPSM is a 60-hour degree program. Transfer a maximum of 45 credits from either a Joint Service Transcript (JST) or Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) (CCAF is regionally accredited by the SACS) transcript.
The ASPSM was specifically created for military students who have worn or are currently wearing the uniform
- The ASPSM is a 60-hour degree program
- Students must complete a minimum of 25% of the program at IWU (5 classes/15 hours)
- The average credits transferred is 36-42
- Could graduate in 7 months
