A Message from National University of Health Sciences

National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) has a proud history of supporting United States veterans, and we continue that legacy today. After World War II, NUHS was home to the very first VFW post on a professional-degree college campus. Today we are home to many servicemen and women who have proudly served in our armed forces. You will find them in our student body, our administration and our faculty and staff.

We invite you to study in an integrative health care environment located just outside the world-class city of Chicago. If you choose one of our professional programs, NUHS offers internships and preceptorships to help you pursue your health care career. We offer family-friendly, on-campus housing on our Illinois campus and housing location assistance at our Florida site.

Both the Illinois and Florida locations offer Veterans Clinics to aid veterans experiencing a variety of injuries and disorders, including PTSD and related health issues. The clinics offer a full range of services including acupuncture care for combat veterans through a special protocol that has been effective in reducing the symptoms of PTSD.

We invite you to read our Veterans Handbook for detailed information on eligibility and how to apply.
