Director of Veteran and Military Affairs

Jason is a retired Navy Captain with over 26 years of service. He was a aircraft carrier pilot with over 4100 hours and commanded VT-9 in Meridian, MS. He also commanded a Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan. His last Navy tour was as an Asst. Professor at the Naval War College teaching with the National Security Affairs Department. His awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2), Air/Strike Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (4), Navy and Army Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, and various other awards.

As a trusted educational institution, Quinnipiac is dedicated to providing the tools, resources and mentorship needed for you to succeed. We are partnered with both the Department of Defense and the Veterans Administration to provide you with a comprehensive set of benefits that fit with your military experience.

Quinnipiac University provides a holistic approach in support of active service members and veterans.  Along with QU's Director of Veteran and Military Affairs, administrative and faculty offices support the day-to-day needs of its warrior scholars, enabling them to concentrate on "being students." 

QU provides a student veteran "Ready Room," a space for veterans to relax, study and expand camaraderie.  Application and matriculation fees are waived and QU is a Yellow Ribbon partner with the VA with unlimited number of awards for both undergraduate and graduate students.  QU also provides workshops for its faculty, staff and traditional students to educate them about veteran issues and concerns.  QU's Student Veteran Organization is a SVA member group and sponsors guest lecturers and fund raising events dedicated to veteran related charities.
