Steps to Veterans Education Success

We have easy-to-follow steps for our veteran students to follow from Admissions through Graduation.

  1. Set up an appointment via phone or in person with the Director of the Veterans Success Center
  2. Apply for Education Benefits
    • You must complete the VONAPP application to receive VA educational benefits. (Direct Deposit is recommended in the application)
    • Print out your Benefit Eligibility page from your Ebenefits.org account.
    • Submit your Certificate Of Eligibility to the Director of Veterans Success
  3. Complete the Simpson University Application for admission
    • Make sure you indicate your status as Active Duty, Veteran, Veteran Dependent, or Reserves
  4. Apply for Financial Aid at fafsa.ed.gov
  5. Acceptance
    • Once you receive your letter of acceptance, pay the advance tuition deposit on the Simpson University Website to start the registration process
  6. Complete Registration
    • Complete and submit all registration forms in your Student Portal
    • Register for classes in your Student Portal
  7. Request VA Certification
    • Each student must request VA certification each semester
  8. Academic Advising
    • We are here for you to meet with SU’s Veteran Academic Advisor for academic advising

Veterans Success Center

The mission of VSC is "To be an exemplary advocate of veteran success, providing our student veterans community a gateway to a culture of purposeful and inspirational Christ-centered learning." VSC is open Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
