Message from University of Colorado Boulder

The university offers military, veteran, and their dependents’ support through a multitude of avenues. The university offers credit for military experience as well as for CLEP exam scores.

Financial support includes participating in the DoD’s Tuition Assistance and Yellow Ribbon Programs as well as offering scholarships specifically for military members.

CU Boulder’s Veteran Ambassador Program (VAP) offers the opportunity for new student veterans to connect with other student veterans (Ambassadors) who have already completed a few years at CU Boulder. The Ambassadors will also go to you if they come across information that they believe can help ease your way through your first semester. Their Summer Bridge Program assists student veterans in acclimating to the CU Boulder campus while enhancing math, writing, and research skills in an intensive and supportive academic environment.

The CU-Boulder Office of Veteran & Military Affairs, (VMA) is a one-stop shop for all programs, policies, pay, information, resources and support for prospective and current student veterans and veteran dependents. VMA understands that veterans and military members living, working, and receiving their education at CU-Boulder are a valued and vital component of our campus community. We recognize and honor their sacrifices and value their life experiences as they broaden the diversity of our staff, faculty and student body.
