Yes, University of Washington offers a military discount or reduced tuition for military and veterans. 

To be eligible for in-state tuition under this provision, active duty military members must be currently stationed in Washington. To apply for in-state tuition and fees as an active duty military member or as a member’s spouse/dependent, students must:

  1. Complete the Tuition Reduction for Active Military Personnel Stationed in Washington form.

  2. Gather supporting documentation such as a copy of the student’s military ID and a copy of the active duty military member’s orders to be stationed in Washington. See the form for complete details.

  3. Submit the form and supporting documentation via the submission portal for the quarter you are applying for. If the submission portal for that quarter is not yet open, you will need to wait until it is available to submit your material. We do not accept documents by email, postal mail, or any other method. 

The application is typically processed about four weeks prior to the start of the quarter and may take at least two weeks to review.
